N.S.S College Nilamel
N.S.S college nilamel is one of the famous college in Kerala.
The college, situated on a lovely hummock surrounded by impressive natural landscape, is affliated to the Uiversity of Kerala.It is located by the State Highway not far away from the historic Jadayu Rock (Chadayamangalam) mentioned in the epic 'The Ramayana'.The college was upgraded in October 1969 with the introduction of Degree Courses in Mathematics,Botany,Zoology,Economics,History and Malayalam.The Department of Malayalam was recognised as a Research Centre of the University of Kerala in the year 2005.
