Kerala's dream project Kochi smartcity project cmes into reality. The Kerala Government team leading by Chief Minister Achuthananthan resolved the obstacles which was delaying the smart city project in last 6 years, in the discussions with the Dubai Team includes Tecom CEO Abdul latif al Mulla , Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Governor Ahmad Humaid Al Tayer , Dubai financial Advisor Dr. Adnan Shilvan and NORKA roots Vice Chairman M.A. Yusuffali in today's meeting which held at at Mascat Hotel Trivandrum. Keralala Government has agreed the free hold right demands of Tecom on 12 percent of 29.5 acres land in SEZ. But according to agreement Tecom would not have any rights of selling these land.
The smartcity project issues are resolved by the official discussion which was held on today morning. At first UAE representatives met Chief Minister at Cliff House and turned into Mascat Hotel. Chief Minister V.S. Achuthananthan informed to media project construction will start within three months and complete master plan of the project will be submitted by Tecom within one month. All documents of agreement handed over each other in the discussions and after cabinet meeting , which is going to held at 4. PM, certified the documents will make the final contract.
As per new agreement Tecom will have the free hold rights on 12 percent land of 2905 acres without reals estate rights. The land registration will take place within one month after the completion of Master plan. State will allow reduced stamp duty and registration charge for the land registration.
