Company Secretary Profile


A company secretary is a professional proficient in corporate laws, securities laws and capital market and corporate governance. He is the chief advisor to the Board of Directors. He is responsible for all the regulatory compliances of the company. He is a corporate planner and a strategic manager.

Eligibility


Foundation programme: 10+2 pass or its equivalent
Executive programme: Graduation

It is a 24x7 study course through e-learning.
The online CS course includes Web based training (WBT), Video based training (VBT), Live virtual classroom (LVC).
The CS course is by correspondence/distance learning with provision for optional oral coaching classes
Students of any discipline in Arts, Commerce and Science (excluding Fine Arts) can pursue the company secretaries course.

Cut Off Dates


CS foundation programme: 31st March, 2011
CS Executive programme: 28th February, 2011
Examinations are held twice a year in June and December
Foundation programme cash payment Rs 200/-; by speed post Rs 250/-
Executive programme cash payment Rs 300/-; by speed post Rs 350/-
