Urumi Malayalam Movie Songs Review
Deepak Dev is a talented music director, no need to say. He initially created a very good impression for his compositions. But then his songs are somewhat average or not upto the mark in few films. But he is finally all set to earn a lot of applauds from the audience as well as the music critics for his new work Urumi. Urumi has plenty of traditional looking tracks of a completely different genre. Deepak Dev is known for foot tapping songs which he created in the past. Santhosh Sivan's desire to explore the full talent of the musician totally succeed in his work. The album has 8 songs including a theme music/title song. The lyrics of the songs is by Engandiyoor Chandrsekharan, Kaithapram and Rafeeq Ahamed. The songs are rendered by Yesudas, Shwetha, Manjari, T R renji, Shaan Rahman, Reshmi, Job kurien, Guru kishen, Rita and Prithviraj.
Song :Aaranne aarenne

A traditional song which reminds us the playful acts of a harvest festival. The lyrics by Engandiyoor Chandrsekharan truly depicts the colourful display of the festival. The male voice is by Job Kurien, a former relaity show winner(SuperStar in Amritha TV) and the female voice is from Rita. This song will be a right break to Job and will surely shows his talents. Rita is not so effective as Job, but the overall song seems to be a foot tapping one and will become a sure chart topper.
Song :Aaro nee aaro

A beautiful melody in recent time. This song got the normal Deepak Dev style but got the right ingredients for being a romantic melody. Swetha starts the song with her beautiful rendering makes a pleasant hearing. Her heart warming and sentimentally penetrative expression of beloved who craves for her soul-mate will really hunt us. Musical legend Yesudas also excelled with his experience in singing. The orchestration fo the song is simply superb. The violin interludes comes inbetween clearly describes the soulful mind which thirst for eternal love.

Thulu thele is a right mixture of traditional music and modern techno music. The debutante singer K R renji rendered this song with his soul out to master the song and he really won. The song is an emotional one and its lyrics by Engandiyoor Chandrsekharan portraits the pain and suffering of the characters. This will surely a break to the lyricist.
Song : Chimmi chimmi

Chimmi chimmi has soft and titillating sounds of natural beauties along with delightful orchestration. Manjary is always have a winning track in this genre. The rock version of the song is sung by actor Prithvi Raj. Both of the version had got good rendering from the singers. Guru Kishen's voice sometimes reminds us Jassie Gift. The lyrics create antics of friendship and the song will be a chart topper.
Song : Chalanam chalanam
Singer:Reshmi

The talended singer Reshmi again comes with a track which is altogether different mood than her previous one in the album. The song likes to be a marching song and has a situational feel of such type. Deepak Dev uses various instruments and their blinding is just mind-blowing.

Theme music should capture the essence of the movie and it is true in case of theme music of Urumi. Deepak dev only used a low tempo for the title track which has a soft pitched musical mode.
