K G Sivanandhan held many postions during his political life.He is entered the politics through AISF. He was imprisoned for 9 times during his young days for participating in youth strikes. He was the memebr of AISF state Committee.He was also the state secretary of AIYF. He was working as a member of CPI State Council and National Council. He alos held the position of the chariman of Land development Corporation(2006-2010) which was under State Farmers Department. He is also the chairman of Co-operative Bank Kodungallur which is selected as the best urban bank in the state. Now he is the member of CPI Thrissur District Executive Committee and State Educational Department . He is the joint secretary of District AITUC.
