The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), which is the youth wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), has filed a petition in the Supreme Court of India to completely ban endosulfan pesticide in the country.

In the petition, the DYFI makes a plea for the ban of endosulfan on the grounds that it is a highly toxic agrochemical which creates disruption in the endocrine system.
