Football Friends is the next latest film offered by the Malayalam industry. The scripts for this movie has been written by veteran Dennis Joseph. The lead roles in this film will be portrayed by Mukesh and Kalabhavan Mani. The film will introduce 11 newcomers who will be part of the football team. Other than these 11 fresh heroes, the movie will also have seven villains and four heroines. A star hunt has been conducted by the director Jijesh Vennala and the crew at Kochi, Calicut and Trivandrum to pick out the perfect new faces that are needed for this movie. The whole scenario is going to something new in the Malayalam film industry as it will be the first time that these many newcomers will be seen in one movie itself. Moreover, Football Friends is slated to be the first of its kind in the Mollywood film industry. Football Friends will hit the theatres on 18th May 2011.

As the name of the movie suggests, the story of Football Friends revolves around a local football team and their struggles to get better at the game. The movie has been inspired by the recent Tamil movies like 'Chennai 600028' and 'Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu'. The seven villains of Football Friends movie will be shown as the opponents of the new hero-filled team. The supporting cast of Football Friends includes Jagathy, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Salimkumar, Siddhique, Anoop Chandran and Sukumari who will also have important roles to play in the film.
