Soorya Krishnamoorthy is a popular person all over India. He was born in the year 11 April 1951 in Kottayam district situated in Kerala state of India. His parents were Nataraja Pillai (who was a chief engineer of Kerala state) & Saraswathi Amma(a member of the Gandhi Peace Foundation). Soorya Krishnamoorthy's educational institutions were Government model high school Trivandrum, Government arts college Trivandrum & TKM college of Engineering Kollam. Among these institutions, he studied his Pre-degree at the Government Arts College located in Trivandrum, where he got certain achievements like General Secretary of the College union & he also represented the University of Kerala in badmintion tournament. I know all people are familiar with the name Soorya Krishnamoorthy. His achievements throughout this career cannot be ended in just one paper.
As we all know Soorya Krishnamoorthy is the founder as well as director of a society named the SOORYA stage & film society based in Trivandrum of Kerala state, India. This society plays an important role in promoting the arts & culture of our country. The term Soorya festival is familiar among the people of Kerala. This is considered as one of the most important cultural events of our country. During these festivals, the renowned artists from all over the country participate in this programme representing their musics as well as classical dances. Not only in India, but also worldwide Soorya have chapters.
