Raju was born in the district of Pathanamthitta . Raju is the third son of K.G Daniel and Annamma of the house known as Puthanpeedika Kuryanteth. He is known as Captain Raju in the cinema field. His wish in the childhood was to become a cinema star. Raju used to act in dramas at that time. After passing BSc he joined Indian Army. Raju couldn't continue much in the army because of his desire to enter cinema field. Raju retired from the army when he was in the position of Captain in Army. He started his cinema life from there onwards. That is how Raju became Captain Raju.
Raju made his debut in the Malayalam Film Field through the hit film 'Raktham' of Jyoshi. There were no shortage of villain role for Captain Raju in the cinemas due to his big and powerful body size. Raju also acted as the hero of Silk Smitha in the film 'Rathilayam'. Captain Raju is an allrounder star in almost all languages in the south India now a days. Films like 'Kanniyam kettupatu','Ullam kavarna kalvar','Maranasasana' gave Captain Raju a great fame in the Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. The villain role in the film 'Avanazhika' was stunning.
