Sohan Roy's Hollywood movie DAM 999 is releasing today in theaters all over India except Tamilnadu. The movie is made based on an award winning short Documentary DAMs - The Lethal Water Bombs and the a disaster took place in China long back in 1975. The movie is made based on a documentary named DAMs – The Lethal Water Bombs. Long back in 1975, around 25,000 people had died in a Dam disaster called Banqiao dam in China. As per a recent report most the dams on the earth are under threat and can cause a big calamity which takes away the life of thousands. So in his movie, he tries to show the catastrophe a Man made Dam can cause to the human life. The Dam 999 revolves around a 100 year old Dam. He links the Dam to the life of nine different people. Each person is depicting nine different types of emotions (Navarasam). This close relation of these nine characters and the similar ending of these characters and the dam is the soul of the story.
