Priyadarshan who had become a popular movie maker in bollywood with a number of super hit flicks is back in malayalam with his ever time super hero Mohanlal. The audience knows that when the duo comes together it would be some thing worth to watch. The movie will be released in Kerala under the title 'Arabiyum Ottakavum P. Madhavan Nayarum' while in Gulf it would be in an alternative name 'Oru Marubhoomikkadha'. As in the former movies directed by Priyadarshan, this movie too is a crime thriller comedy movie having Mukesh, Lakhmi Rai and Bhavana doing pivotal roles.

Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor is playing the role of the Arab. The other supporting cast includes Innocent, Mamukkoya, Suraj Venjarumood, Maniyanpilla Raju. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is doing a cameo role which would add more attraction towards the progress of the movie. The movie tries to talk about a Malayali, employed in Gulf and the problems he has to face during his life there. There are 4 songs in the movie which is composed by playback singer M.G Sreekumar.
