Arabiyum Ottakavum P. Madhavan Nairum is about the life of a Malyalee named P. Madhavan Nair (Mohanlal). He is working in Abu Dhabi in a company owned by an Arab. The story of the film is about the problems facing by a Malayalee working in Gulf countries. At the same time Madhavan Nair is in love with a girl Meenakshi (Lakshmi Rai). The real problems and twists of the story comes when Madhavan Nair meets 'Ottakathalayan' who's real name Abdullah (Mukesh).
