Maharaja's Technological Institute in Thrissur is one of the oldest Polytechnic colleges in Kerala. This institute is situated in the central part of Thirissur and there is a big history hidden behind this college initiation. We will see the whole history and the features of this college in detail.
The Maharaja's Technological Institute in Thrissur is one of the oldest colleges but renowned for excellency. Initially, the Maharaja's Technological Institute was initiated as a war professionals training center and it was started by the Government of India in the time of World War II. In the beginning, this was called by just a Training center and later, it was named as the Maharaja's Technological Institute and they have started to offer the diploma courses in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering.
These courses were started in the year of 1947 - 1948. As said above, it is one of the oldest colleges in Kerala, but, aimed to provide an excellent education to the students and their aim is not just to make the students to study their subjects, but, they have to turn out as a technician mentally. Later few years back, this college came under the control of the Directorate. Their only objective is to make the rural people to study. As we all know well that the college is located in the central part of Thirissur, students from anywhere can approach here, provided, if they have enough and sound talents.What are the Facilities in MIT?

On every department, they have appointed a well trained and skilled staff to train the student in such a way to make him as a professional. The men's can stay in hostels to have a comfy environment to study along with the friends, and the hostel warden will be a faculty member to aid the students in all ways and always.
