Bharata Mata College is one of the finest colleges in Kochi and it is the first grade arts and science institution, which is managed by the Archdiocese of Ernakulum Angamaly. This college is established in the year of 1965 and it is established by the late Cardinal Joseph Parecattil. Bharata Mata College is the first Co – Educational College in the Thrikkakara and most of the significant landmarks are located nearer to this college. The most advantageous thing about this college is that it is the absolute place for the students, who are economically, socially and educationally backward than others. This college is offering more than 13 degree courses and corresponding PG courses for the students to have a good education in their home town itself. Moreover, this college is approved as the Off Campus center under the Mahatma Gandhi University. Approximately, more than 1800 students are studying in the current year and among the whole strength, girls occupied nearly 60% and it is one of the most proud prestigious issue about this college. The admission process is extremely strict and 50% of the seats will be filled by the general merit by CAP of the Mahatma Gandhi University, 20% of the seats will be fulfilled by the SC/ST of Mahatma Gandhi University, 10% is for Community merit and 20% is allocated for the Management Quota. You can get the application form from the Principal's desk and the cost of the application is just 50 rupees per head and if you want the posted application, it will be 72 rupees. After filling the application, it should be submitted to the principal's desk on or before to the corresponding date mentioned by the Mahatma Gandhi university board. The application is not refundable and you should not get back it.
