After Vineeth Srenivasan's Thattathin Marayathu celebrated its 1st century for being revolving around theatres, now it's the turn for Run Baby Run to start the real countdown. Already being declared as a blockbuster, the movie is still in full power completing 40 days of its grand run. It would be joy time for producer Milan Jaleel who cashed for the movie along with 'Thappana' as Onam treat for the movie fans. But 'Thappana' failed to keep the pace and it fell short after running for few weeks. Run Baby Run directed by Joshiy was much capable of pulling audience to the theatres which got positive responses right from the first day of its release. The movie which had Mohanlal and Amala Paul in the lead shares the incidents which happen on the back drops of new media.
The movie which had got pre publicity via social media sites had generated an enthusiasm among the online community who were eagerly waiting to taste their cup of tea. Run Baby Run had all the essence to get thick packed audience who did had belief in director Joshiy and Mohanlal. 
The movie prior to the release had a preview at Chennai which was attended by Amala Paul, Priyadarsan, Suresh Balaji, Lizzy Priyadarsan, Ouseppachan, and R. D. Rajasekhar. Run Baby Run was released worldwide on 29th August featuring in theatres outside India too including USA,UK,Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia & Singapore. Family audience took the movie on shoulders as the movie was an ultimate entertainer for them during the Onam holidays. Run Baby Run had shown its power in the first week of its run clocking 7.5 Crore in 7 days.
According to earlier box office predictions, the movie was to make only 11-12 crore in the long run. But things changed as movie lovers were not interested to leave Run Baby Run from the theatres recording 40 days of marathon run creating a huge buzz in the box office leaving all other movies behind collecting a gross total of 16 Crore 75 Lakhs.
