About Neyyar Dam Sanctuary This Neyyar Dam Sanctuary was notified as a wildlife sanctuary in 1958 and consists of vegetation from tropical wet evergreen forests to grasslands. The catchment area of the Dam is the basin of the three rivers Neyyar, Mullayar and Kallar. How to Reach Neyyar Dam Sanctuary You have to reach Thiruvananthpuram international airport or Thiruvananthapuram Railway station. From there you can take a cab to reach the dam site which is about 32 kilometers from the city of Thiruvananthapuram. If you are reaching either Calicut or Kochi airports of Kerala, take connection trains from the respective railway stations to reach Thiruvananthapuram railway station.
