Agasthyakoodam is the highest peak in the state of Kerala and stands at about 1890 meters above sea level.

Medicinal Herbs cultivation Agasthya Koodam is also known for the rich and rare medicinal herbs, plants and various hued orchids. In 1992 23 kilometers of the hills was established as the Agasthya vanam Biological Park, where in, the intention was to use it for the education purposes as well as to restore the garden to its usual glory.
Best time to visit Agasthyakoodam The season and the best time to visit can be anytime but trekking up the hills is permitted only from December to April. The length of the trail is about 28 kilometers and takes about 2 days to complete the trek.
