Dr. T.M Thomas Isaac is a committee member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist)- CPI (M). Dr Isaac represents the Mararikulam constituency in the district of Alappuzha, Kerala and currently, he is the Finance Minister of Kerala. Dr Isaac's father's name is T.P Mathew and mother's name is Saramma Mathew. Thomas Isaac's educational qualification includes a graduation and post-graduation degree in B.A and M.A respectively from Economics University of Kerala, Trivandrum. He obtained M.Phil and PhD in Economics from the Centre for Development Studies affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. Because of his high qualifications, Thomas Isaac is considered as one of the most educated politicians of Kerala. He has also worked as a professor at the Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum.
