Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering and technology (SNGCE), Kannur is one of the leading engineering colleges in Kerala and aims mainly to empower the students in their chosen area with necessary skills, knowledge and attitude. The college is approved by " All India Council for Technical Education " (AICTE), affiliated to Kannur university and managed by Sree Bhakthi Samvardhini Yogam, Kannur. The college was established in 2003 under the self financing scheme of government of Kerala. The campus which spread over 45 acres of land is situated at Chalakode in Kannur district. This tranquil and relaxing environment, which is free from pollution and hustle and bustle of the town is an ideal place for the students to enjoy their college life. Highly qualified and dedicated faculties are real asset of the institution. The principle of the college Dr. V.K Janardhanan is a well experienced person, who got M.E in Mechanical engineering from PSG College of Technology and Doctor of Philosophy from VIT University. B-Tech in Civil Engineering (60 seats)
Civil engineering is one of the oldest branch of engineering which have specialization such as constructional engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, environmental engineering, geodetic engineering etc. Now this course have many job opportunities inside and outside the country. Civil engineers play a key role in the development of a country. The SNGCE provide a total of 60 seats with highly qualified faculties and top class facilities.
B-Tech in Mechanical engineering(60 seats)
This is also an oldest branch of engineering which have specialization such as design, industrial engineering, mechatronics and power, materials and manufacturing engineering etc. The program offer high job opportunities in and outside the country. SNGCE provide as total 60 seats with talented faculties and top class facilities.
B-Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering(60 seats)
This is an oldest branch of engineering which have wide range of specialization in digital signal processing, microprocessors, digital signal and image processing, telecommunication and information system, power system and industrial power, optical devices and systems, nanotechnology and MEMS, nano electronics and photonics etc. The college provide a total of 60 seats with dedicated faculties and all modern lab equipments.
B-Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering(60 seats)
This is a new branch emerged with a wide range job opportunities in and outside the country. The major areas of Electronics and communication engineering include communication, DSP, biomedical signal processing, image processing and computer vision, instrumentation etc. SNGCE provide a total of 60 seats with high class and modern lab facilities.
B-Tech in Computer Science and Engineering(60 seats)
This is also a new branch of engineering, now reach at the level of other branches due to its wide range of specialization and high job opportunities. Different specialization in Computer science and engineering artificial intelligence, cognitive science, computer information, computer graphics, computer programming, computer networks, computer servicing technology, data processing, data base system, information science, management information system, neural network and a lot more. Hostel
The college provide well equipped and separate hostel facilities for girls and girls. The boys hostel can accommodate 300 inmates and girls hostel can accommodate 200 inmates. Delicious foods are provided in the hostel messes. The hostels are built in the campus premises to ensure safety of the students. Wardens are provided in each hostels to look after the daily administrative disciplines. 
Central library
The college have a well equipped and computerized library to provide a vast knowledge resources for the students. It has a wide selection of engineering books besides magazines, journals, periodicals and news papers. For the quick access and easy retrieval, all the books are arranged in an ordered and subject wise manner. Students can take the book at any time but resubmit before the allotted period.
Computer lab
The college provide a well equipped and fully air conditioned computer lab with high end systems and printers for the need of each and every students. It has more than 200 PC's with colored monitors, scanner and multimedia facilities. High speed internet is also coupled with the computer lab for the quick browsing. Students can avail this facility at any time and can download any information with no cost.
Canteen
SNGCE college canteen avails you the healthiest and the tastiest vegetarian and non vegetarian foods. It has a capacity of more than 150 peoples with all modern facilities inside it. Catering duties for the campus are also undertaken by the canteen management.
General store
A store is functioning in the campus, where text books, instruments, textiles and other stationeries needed for the students as well as staffs are available.
Placement cell
Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering and technology has an excellent placement cell offering placement assistance to the students. A large number students were offered placements in reputed companies in past. Most of the companies that offer placements are MNC's like Godrej,Tata,Wipro etc. A career guidance cell is also works in link with Placement cell.
Transport
