UDF released their manifesto for the for the upcoming Assembly elections to challenge the LDF manifesto.

United Democratic Front (UDF), released their manifesto for the upcoming state assembly election 2011. Their manifesto is really challenging to the manifesto released by the LDF government. They have offered 25 kilograms of rice at the price of Rs 1/Kg to all BPL families in every month and 25 kg of rice in every month to all APL families at the rate of Rs 2/kg. LDF had announced 'Rs 2 per kilogram rice scheme' to all APL and BPL families. UDF manifesto is really challenging to LDF Rs 2 kilo rice scheme.

They have offered employment to 37 lakhs people during their 5 year tenure. The LDF had announced that they will provide employment to 25 lakhs people. The employment will be given in the field of IT, Tourism, Small Scale Industry and Self Employment. The another interesting announce is the Universal Health Insurance scheme . They have planned to spend one crore for this assurance during their 5 year tenure. The fund will be used for the development of basic facilities.

They announced that the Kochi Metro Railwill come into reality. The poor, who have no house of their own, will get land free of cost. The will be given at low interest rate of 3%. All <>b?houses will be electrified with in 1 years. A new university will be opened in the name of Thunjath Ezhuthachan. The manifesto also mentioning a new scheme for waste disposal. The manifesto also contains a scheme of depositing a fixed amount of money in the name of every . When the girl becomes 15 years of age, this amount can be withdrawn.
