As we all know Adaminte Makan Abu is an award winning Malayalam movie. This popular movie was written, directed & co produced for the first time by the film maker Salim Ahammed. The latest news regarding this movie is that it will be screened at the 55th London Film Festival that is going to be held at Lanchaishre from 12 October 2011-27 October 2011. But the film will be screened on 13 October 2011-15 October 2011.
Already the film had won 4 International awards namely the best film, best actor, best background score & best cinematography respectively. Apart from this, it had also won the Kerala state film awards including the best film, best actor, best background music & best screenplay. So the London Fest is considered to be an international recognition for the Malayalam movie Adaminte Makan Abu.
The film tells the story of an old age couple whose wish is to go to Mecca to perform the holy hajj. Salim Kumar & Zarina Wahab plays the role of Abu & Ayisha in this film. Both of them worked hard to fulfill their dream. But at the end when Abu realized that he will never be able to fulfill his dream, he thought about the great sin he had done long back. Abu feels it may be of this sin that he is not able to go to hajj.
