Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has introduced a new system for registering complaints when a power failure occurs. The system works on SMS. That means you can register complaints just by sending SMS to a number. KSEB SMS based complaint system was inaugurated by the Power Minister, Shri Aryadan Mohammed. This program was included in UDF Government's 100 day program. At present service is active in Thiruvananthapuram district and will be active in all other district in coming days. Through SMS based system people can avoid the difficulties in contacting KSEB when power failure occurs. Users can send SMS to 537252. The format of messaging is "KSEB Section Code Consumer No" to 537252. Section code will be a four digit number which is unique to each section and consumer number is unique individual number for every connection. KSEB will attend the complaints registered through SMS system within two hours. If any users is not satisfied with the operation of SMS based system he can register this in toll free number 155333. The SMS cost of KSEB SMS based Complaint System is Rs 2 for BSNL customers and RS 2 for others.
