A two day dog show organized by the Canine Club of Kochi will be held at the ground near the St George Forane Church, Edappally in Ernakulam district of Kerala state, India. This is a 2 day event that starts on 12 November 2011 & ends by 13 November 2011. This is an event that is mainly conducted to encourage dog owners. Indian breeds like Chippipara, Rajapalayam & Rampur Hound will be given preference during this event. Apart from this, rare varieties of dogs in different sizes will be present at this event. On 12 November 2011, which is the first day of the event, there will be an obedience contest to test how obedient the dogs are. Following this, there will be an exhibition of skills by canines from the Kerala police. On 13 November 2011, about 350 dogs from 60 breeds will participate in the main show. Another important fact is that dogs that weigh less than a kg to over 100kg will exhibit their skills. The organizer of this event namely the Canine Club of Cochin will undertake campaigns to sterilize the street dogs so as to prevent rabies & they will also set up an electric crematorium for the domestic as well as street animals. The event will be judged by Mr Andy Shieh from China, Mr. J. Rangarajan from India & Mr Thana Achariyawan from Thailand respectively.
