Global NRK meet 2011 at Thiruvananthapauram

Global Non –Resident Keralites (NRK) Meet 2011 will start on December 29th Thursday held at Mascot hotel Trivandrum. The Global NRK meet is organized by Non – Resident Keralites Affairs (NORKA) combined with Government of Kerala and NORKA – ROOTS. The NRK meet is two day event on December 29th and 30. This meet in the capital city is the follow up of the NRK meet of 2008 which is held at Kochi. This is the fourth edition of Global Non Resident Keralites meet.

Global NRK meet 2011 will inaugurate by Honorable Chief Minister Oomen Chandy on Thursday at 11.30 am. NORKA minister K.C. Joseph, Industries and IT minister P.K. Kunhalikutty, Finance minister K.M. Mani, Tourism minister A.P. Anil Kumar and Transport minister V.S. Sivakumar will present in various sessions of the NRK meet. The representatives of Non – Resident Keralites from the country and abroad will be the participants of the Global meet.

The Global NRK meet is conducted as an objective for solving and sharing the problems and concerns of NRKs and to encourage the welfare projects such as Santhwana, Chairman Fund and Karunyam. Global NRK meet is also considered as a forerunner of the coming event 'Emerging Kerala' meet which will held in 2012. Kerala receives an average of 49695 crore rupees every year from NRKs. To increasing the amount and obtain foreign funds, there will be discussions on the meet. The rehabilitation of the returned Non Resident Keralites is also the topic for discussion.

Many senior executives and officials of Kerala state government and Central government will attend in various sessions of the Global NRK meet 2011. Also major investment promotional agencies in Kerala like KSIDC, Techno Park, KINFRA, KFC, SBT, Federal bank, KITCO etc will be the participants of the meet.
